Hi. I’m Nikki. I’m a Mom. Married to my husband Jordan for 13 years and we have 3 boys. Oh… and one on the way! A girl. 4 Kids?! Never imagined that when I was an “angsty teenager” who claimed to never want to have children due to the state of the world. I’m a stay at home Mom and I work part-time in the area of Accounting/Finance for my church. Accountant by trade, Mommy by name to those who know me best.
I will cover a lot of topics because that’s what my life entails. A lot. It’s Messy. Crazy. Busy…. trying to be a good wife, Mom, friend, family member, coworker, Christian, the list goes on. But I’m currently working to pay off debt and find side gigs and sources of income to still be available to my family during the day.
I mentioned I was married. We have an extremely romantic love story of how we met, love at first sight, knew it from the moment we spent 5 minutes together kind of story. Ok, bear with me…. we were tax partners in business school and spent A LOT of time together in the college library studying and preparing fake tax returns.
I know, pure romance. Right? But in all seriousness, I thought he was super cute and well… the long hours allowed for plenty of conversation. He was smart, cute, and had a funny personality. Marriage came a couple years later. A few moves. A house. A dog. Kids. Now here we are.
I’m a Mom supporting other Moms – learning as I go, raising kids, struggling with finances and debt, trying to keep priorities, and I am an undiagnosed (or perhaps self-diagnosed as I watch all the Reels about it) ADHD type person.
I want Moms and anyone else reading these blogs to know that a messy life (and house) is 100% normal. I know I get sucked into “picture perfect” families on social media all too often and I want you know to know that is not real life. Messy somewhat organized chaos is real life. At least it is for me!
I’m messy too and learning from mistakes everyday. But I get it right sometimes too! I don’t have it all together but I get a LOT of hands on experiences. (Multiple kids and life circumstances will do that to you. haha)
So come along and learn from my mistakes, laugh at the mishaps, join the chaos for a family of 6, and don’t forget to laugh at some point every day.
Who is this blog for? Anyone! Moms, Dads, friends, families, or anyone struggling to keep up, trying to pay off debt (I’ll have tips ready for you very soon in my blog if you keep reading and coming back), if you would like to follow my thrifting and resale side hustle journey, or just read hilarious stories of my life and mishaps at home.
My passion is for motherhood, working from home, keeping finances straight, and raising all these tiny (but they just keep growing!) disciples in my home to love Jesus and love others.
I look forward to getting to know you too if you’ll stick around and reach out!
